Over on the Cuddly Cute Designs fan page the NEW Challenge is to make any project using patterned paper on a CCD paper piecing and step outside the box and do something more than just clothing pieces. I've had this "Stinkin' Cute" pattern on my mind to make for a little while now and thought this was the perfect project to use it on :-) So here's my Challenge project and it was so fun to pull together!

This little skunk was just screaming to be cut out of BoBunny Dot Papers! I also use some pink & white gingham paper for his nose. I found some brown scrap patterned paper that had swirls in it that I thought worked perfectly for the top of the tree stump.
While looking through my scraps of paper, I came across the blue/yellow/white plaid with the coordinating polka dot papers and wanted to figure a way to use those on this project - mainly because the colors just make me feel happy! So they became my photo mats, border trim, flowers, and part of my title.
I used the "Scalloped Shapes" file by Cuddly Cute Designs to frame out my square photo mats. I sized the scallops at 5".
I wasn't too sure about using patterned paper in my title, but I think it turned out better once I chalked the letters. This is sooo outside my comfort zone!
If YOU would like a chance to win a FREE Cuddly Cute Designs pattern, you have until April 26th to submit your own Patterned Paper Challenge project!
