Yankee Doodle DANDY Layout

Hello fellow crafters!  Today I'm sharing a one-page layout I made using a past Freebie File from Cuddly Cute Designs.

I titled my layout "Yankee Doodle DANDY", and once you see the photograph you'll know why LOL!  My daughter sent me this picture of my grandson while they were at a Fourth of July parade in Portland, Oregon.  As soon as I saw him in that hilarious hat and holding two American flags, I knew EXACTLY which cutting file would go perfectly with it.

I used the hat and flag from the "4th of July Mouse" pattern and proportionately "bumped" them up in size to fit my background paper better. See, I told you they would be perfect LOL!

I designed my title and also printed the small journaling circle and then used my 1-1/4" circle punch and 1-1/2" scallop punch to make it.  The Fourth of July sticker embellishment came from my stash.

In case you're interested, here is what the entire "4th of July Mouse" pattern looks like:

It's available on the Cuddly Cute Designs website under the "Past Freebies $1" link.

I just love how this layout turned out!  It's definitely going to be one of those that makes me smile every time I look at it!

Thanks for stopping by.  Until next time...Happy Scrapping!

Heard the SCOOP Card

Hi everyone! I'm sharing a quick card I made today using the ice cream cone from the "Cool Treats" collection by Cuddly Cute Designs.

For the scoops of ice cream I used some BoBunny Double Dot paper, and for the cone I used some tan colored cardstock scraps I had and then ran it through one of my embossing folders. Next I used a Dark Brown Cats Eye chalk over the embossed areas. For a little sparkle, I added some Icicle Stickles to the ice cream pieces.

Don't you just LOVE IT when you need a fun little item to add to a card and you have so many things to choose from all the wonderful collection sets from Cuddly Cute Designs? I know I sure do! This ice cream cone certainly did the trick for me!  Here's a peek at what the whole "Cool Treats" file looks like:

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far! Today I'm sharing a layout I just completed that I've titled "Grandma's Little Monkey".

These adorable patterned papers are from the "Baby BOY" collection by Bella Blvd and the dotted paper is by BoBunny. I used two cutting files from Cuddly Cute Designs; the cute little monkey is from the Zoo Animals file and the large mat is actually part of the Banners Galore set. I designed my title in SCAL2 using two fonts from my computer.

For some additional detail, I added a punched white border, punched photo corners and some little white buttons from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you've enjoyed seeing this layout!

Until next time... Happy Scrapping!

I used white cardstock for my card base and matted this adorable Doodlebug patriotic paper (an oldie but a goodie!) with red cardstock.  My picture isn't the greatest, but I used Diamond Stickles on all the stars to give them a little Star Spangled Sparkle!

This RW&B Challenge has SO MANY project possibilities; could be anything from Patriotic, to Summer, to Christmas - let your imagination be your guide!

Here's what the whole Calendar Marker file consists of:

This little gem of a file has so many fun elements to it! They would be a great addition to any project or would be perfect just by themselves.  If you're interested, you can purchase this Calendar Marker file by clicking HERE

I hope to see YOUR Red, White & Blue Challenge project soon on the Cuddly Cute Designs FB Fan Page!

Until next time... Happy Scrapping!

UFO Layout

I have always LOVED the "Space Boy" pattern by Cuddly Cute Designs and finally found my photos that I wanted to use with it. Took me a while, mainly because I didn't realize these photos of my grandson playing with his remote controlled Flying Saucer were taken way back in 2010 -- seems like it was just yesterday LOL!

How cute is that background paper?  It's by Best Creations and is part of their Robot line, and the green "moon" paper at the bottom is from a "Cosmic Whammy" stack by The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.

I used some glitter paper for my paper pieces and also some light blue Vellum on my spaceship and the rocket windows. And isn't that little Alien just the cutest?

I love this pattern and had a "blast" putting it all together.  Thanks for looking and I hope you all have a great week!

Until next time... Happy Scrapping!

Fourth of July Layout

Happy Fourth of July everyone!  Yesterday a fantastic new FREEBIE was posted by Cuddly Cute Designs... the 4th of July Mouse.  First of all, I couldn't believe this amazing file was a FREEBIE, and secondly, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this and play!

Here's what the file from CCD looks like:

And here is my layout I created using this file:

I used some glitter paper to cut out most of my pieces and just love how they turned out.  Lots and lots of *S*P*A*R*K*L*E* -- perfect for the Fourth of July!

Here's a closer look at the pieces:

These firework bursts and stars are from the Patriotic Bears file, also by Cuddly Cute Designs.

I really love these bright colors on the softer blue background paper; really makes the paper pieces "pop"!  The heart with the "God Bless America" tag attached to it is an older sticker style embellishment that I had in my stash. The ivory colored heart perfectly matched the red and ivory borders on my paper so it was a win-win -- a perfect match AND I used something old from my stash!

If you haven't already, be sure to visit the Cuddly Cute Designs website HERE and click on the ***FREEBIE*** button to get your very own 4th of July Mouse file.  But act fast... this file will be FREE for a limited amount of time!

Thank you for stopping by; I hope you enjoyed seeing my Fourth of July layout and that you have a great holiday weekend!

Until next time... Happy Scrapping!
