St. Patrick's Day Layout

Happy Leap Day! Woo Hoo -- an extra day to CRAFT this year LOL! Today I'm sharing a two-page layout I made using the "Lucky Bears" file by Cuddly Cute Designs.

The whole layout

First page

Second page

These pattern pieces all came together so easily and I just love how CUTE they turned out!

Clover Bear

Horseshoe Bear

Pot of Gold Bear

I used a few of the clovers to make a frame for a 4x6 photo in my cutting program and, lucky for me, it turned out pretty cute so I decided to use it.

I was a little undecided about a title, but while shopping the other day I saw a St. Patrick's Day placque that said "You're all the LUCK I need" and I was like 'OMG that's IT!", snapped a picture of it on my phone (in case I forgot the wording after I got home) and it worked perfectly for me! Yep, totally lifted the title but I'm scrapper enough to admit it LOL!

Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed this layout.  Here is a quick look at the "Lucky Bears" pattern by Cuddly Cute Designs, which you can find on their website HERE

The Big Banana Layout

Ummmm... here's a layout I made that may not be in everyone's wheelhouse, but it's cute still, right LOL!!??? One of my grandsons had a reptile birthday party in 2014 where there were all kinds of creepy crawly slimey things and all the kids LOVED it. This grandma kept a good 10-12 foot distance!

But the good news is the Snuggle Palz Snake file by Cuddly Cute Designs worked perfectly for this layout... and it is definitely the ONLY snake I'd EVER touch!!!

Since "Banana" (the snake's name) was an albino python, I made my Snuggle Palz Snake in his (her?) colors.  For the title, I used some yellow and white patterned paper to cut out the letters, then chalked them and embossed them for a snake skin effect. Pretty cool, eh?

For a sort of 'still makes my skin crawl' layout, I still love how it turned out. Hope this didn't creep all of you out!

Until next time ... Happy Scrapping!

Loads of Love Valentine's Day Card

Today I'm sharing a Valentine's Day card I made using the dump truck pattern from the "Under Construction" file set by Cuddly Cute Designs.  I also used one of the hearts from the "Heart Flourish Set" and cut it out in three different sizes in two different shades of red cardstock.

My card measures 6.5 x 5 and I just love how it turned out.  I didn't have any black with small white polka dot paper, so I used some wide ribbon that I found in my stash.  Worked perfectly!  I printed the "Loads of Love" from my computer onto white cardstock and then just used a circle punch to cut it out.

Here's a peek at the inside -- just a simple sentiment that I also printed off my computer.

The "Under Construction" set has a lot of fun pieces included in it.  One of my grandsons had an Under Construction birthday party a few years ago that I STILL need to scrapbook, so this file will certainly come in handy for that! Here's what that cutting file looks like:

Love Bug & Little Lady Layouts

Hi Everyone!  Today I'm sharing my two latest layout projects I made using cutting files by Cuddly Cute Designs.  First is my "Love Bug" one-page layout.

Although the original "Love Bug" file looks like a Valentine's Day pattern, as you can see you can use it for just about anything by simply changing the color scheme!  I just loved being able to use it to embellish these adorable pictures of my grandson from when he was 6-1/2 months old (he's 8 years old now!).

Here's a look at what the cutting file looks like:

My second project is a two-page layout using the "Little Lady" cutting file:

I also used one of the borders from the "Pretty Borders" file, and a tag and banner from the "This & That" file all by Cuddly Cute Designs.

I absolutely LOVE how my journaling tag turned out. The two little hearts left over from another project were the perfect accents for the tag banner. The black dotted strip across the bottom is actually a ribbon that I glued onto a red strip of cardstock.

I've wanted to make this adorable Little Lady set for a while now; don't these pieces have just the cutest faces?

For my layout I wanted a larger scallop for the top border, so in order to do this I manipulated the border pattern piece in my cutting program by proportionately sizing it to around 15-16 inches long, then deselected the "Keep Proportions" box and increased the height to 2.25", cut it out on a 12x24 mat, then trimmed it on my paper cutter to fit centered on my 12x12 paper. Did the same thing for the black shadow. Sounds a little involved, but it really was pretty easy.

I also manipulated the ladybug wings a little differently in my cutting program by copying the wing, moved the dots inside one of the wings and 'grouped' them. This created a layer to add on top of the other wing piece, so basically the ladybug was assembled in three pieces: ladybug body, a solid black wing layer, and then a red wing layer with holes in it for the black wing base to show through instead of the ladybug body, solid red wing and separate black dots. Hope that makes sense!  Here's a photo of my assembly process that hopefully shows how I layered my ladybugs better (excuse the looks of my well-used cutting mat!).

For just a touch of sparkle, I also brushed the black title layer, the black flowers and the little girl's and ladybug's antenna pieces with a black Wink of Stella pen.

Here are what the cutting files I used for this layout look like:

"Little Lady"

"Pretty Borders"

"This & That"

I hope you like my layouts and enjoyed my little cutting lesson LOL! It's just so nice knowing these files are versatile and can work for you in so many ways! Here's a quick link to the Cuddly Cute Designs website HERE in case you'd like to see everything else they have to offer!

Lion Valentine's Day Card

Hi everyone!  Today I'm sharing a fun Valentine's Day card I made using the Lion pattern from the Cuddly Cute Designs "Zoo Animals" collection and also a couple hearts from the "Heart Flourish Set".

Inside Card

I was looking through my Valentine papers and came across this adorable lion paper (it's from an older K&Company paper stack) and right away thought it would go perfectly with the lion pattern -- and it did! So that's how this card idea popped into my head!

I also used some alphabet stickers for the word "Valentine" on the front of the card and printed the inside card sentiment on my computer.  Also, to give the card a little dimension, I added some foam tape to the lion to make him pop a little off the card.

This lion is so stinkin' cute and I just love his face! Hopefully my card recipient's heart will 'roar' with excitement when they open it up!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed seeing this card.

Until next time ... Happy Scrapping!
