Little Scraps of Heaven Designs Sketch Layout Challenge

I saw on Facebook that Little Scraps of Heaven Designs was sponsoring a Sketch Layout Challenge ending March 31 and the winning entry would get $15 worth of free files from their website.  All you had to do was make a one-page layout using their sketch as reference and it needed to include at least one of their files.  So I thought "Woo Hoo, I can do this" and started going through my MANY LSHD files and decided to make an Easter layout.  I had the cutest picture of all the grandkids from Easter 2011 that I had printed a 5x7 of in like April 2011 and figured this would be the perfect reason to finally get that thing scrapped!  I used a combination of pieces from two of their files (Baby's 1st Easter and Bunny Tracks).  Why use just one file when you can use two, right???

Well, it only took me like three days to complete this layout, which if you know me you'd probably say "wow, that didn't take you very long" LOL!  The hardest part for me was selecting which papers to use.  I love having tons of paper in my scraproom, but sometimes I think that's not a good thing because that means too many choices!  I mean, seriously, does a NORMAL person really need to take a whole day picking out which papers to use for a layout???  Oh, and don't even ask how long it took me to arrange, rearrange, and rearrange the leaves under the Easter title.  I am not well....

So here it is as submitted to LSHD...got my fingers crossed!  If not selected, no big deal because everyone who entered got a $2 free file so I'm already a winner in my book :)

  2. Thanks Susan! Yep, used an embossing folder on the hair. Wasn't sure if I liked it and almost changed it but thought "what the heck..do something different". Thinking the wood grain embossing folder would make a better hair dimension look but didn't have one...but not for long! My new one will be delivered in a few days LOL!
